For Content Owners and Stakeholders
Faculty and staff are responsible for ensuring that every digital asset submitted to the web team is compliant before the web team uploads it to any Mary Frances Early College of Education website. For example:
- A text equivalent for every non-text element must be provided. Any videos requested to be posted on the COE website must include high-quality closed captioning, and any audio clips must be accompanied by a written transcript. University of Georgia Marketing & Communications recommends the human transcription service from Rev.com.
- Every image must have a text-only description (including images within your documents)
- Every document (Word, PDF, Google Doc, etc.) must be created using proper page structure (not merely font changes, but actual heading levels)
We reserve the right to remove or deny publication of any non-accessible documents, videos, and other materials.
NOTE: Materials produced for print purposes by the Marketing and Communications Office are not suitable for the website — or any other non-printing purposes — and will be refused.
