Logos & Templates

An official UGA-branded logo must be included on all promotional items purchased with funds that pass through the College or through UGA. Additionally, it is at the discretion of the Marketing and Communications Office to determine the appropriateness of an official logo on all promotional items created for classes, events, groups, projects, etc., that are in any way associated with the College of Education.

The Marketing and Communications Office needs to approve all promotional materials prior to sending them to UGA Trademarks and reserves the right to select the appropriate logo.

Think twice before creating a new logo

With the new branding in place, UGA is working hard to create a unified look for all its communication materials. Not only does this look professional, but it also sends a clear and consistent message to potential students, funding agencies, alumni, and other stakeholders.

We must follow the UGA branding guidelines and draw our strength from the University as a whole, rather than relying on individual programs or initiatives.

What are AI and PNG files?

We provide logos in several different formats. What’s the best one to use? It depends on your project.

  • AI: AI files are the native vector file type for Adobe Illustrator. With an AI file, graphics, drawings, and images can be scaled infinitely with no impact on resolution.
  • PNG: These files are best for digital use, whether it’s on a website, in an email, or placed into a Word or PowerPoint document. These files are smaller, making it easier to send or download them.

Templates

We want our faculty and students to have professional-quality tools to help them succeed in their research and academic endeavors. To assist in this, we have created College of Education-branded templates to help our researchers easily create the items they need for recruitment or dissemination of information.

Don’t see something you need? We are happy to work with you to create it. Please email our director of communications Jen Williams if you have a specific request.

If you are looking to create a professionally printed piece, such as a poster, tri-fold brochure, or booklet, please use our communications project request form.

Letterhead

The College has three branded letterheads, which can be downloaded as .dotx files.

Email signatures

All written or electronic communications from University faculty and staff should reflect the University of Georgia visual brand. Email signatures in University emails must comply with the University’s visual identity guidelines.

Email signatures may only include the sender’s name; professional designation(s); title; college, department, or unit; contact information; the University name and logo; and any confidentiality notice created by the college, department, or unit (each, a “unit”), as appropriate. An additional phrase or tagline may be used only if it is created by a unit, relevant to the unit’s mission, and consistent with the employee’s role. Signature formats can be found on UGA’s brand website.
