Notary Services

By appointment, notary services are available for faculty, staff, and currently enrolled students.

Notary services are available by appointment only and are limited to the specific document types listed below. To request services, faculty, staff, and currently enrolled students must email the notary in advance to schedule an appointment. Walk-in requests are not accommodated and will be directed to this webpage to arrange a scheduled time.

The documents requiring notarization will be confirmed at the time the appointment is scheduled. Only approved document types will be notarized.

Notary services are also offered at the Tate Center as well as University HR.

GaPSC Certification, Pre-Service, & Teacher Licensure

Please contact Krista or Shayla to schedule an appointment for the following approved education and certification documents:

  • Georgia Certification & Pre-Service:  All official GaPSC certification applications and verification forms.
  • Out-of-State Licensure:  All other state teacher licensure verification and certification forms.
  • Approved University Documents:  Officially sanctioned College of Education or UGA academic forms requiring an institutional notary seal.

General & Civic Documentation

  • Jury Duty:  Official court deferral, exemption, or verification letters.
  • General Financial Aid:  Standard or third-party financial verification paperwork.

Important Reminders for Your Appointment:

  • Do Not Sign in Advance:  Do not sign or date your documents before your appointment. All forms must be signed live in the physical presence of the notary.
  • Bring a Valid, Unexpired Photo ID:  You must present a valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID at the time of your appointment. Acceptable forms of ID include:
    • Driver’s license
    • State-issued ID card
    • U.S. Military ID
    • Passport
  • UGA Student IDs:  Please note that a UGA student ID card cannot be accepted for official notarizations.
